The Explorer2 V1717 firmware / DAC up-loader is available on the Meridian website.

The MQA firmware Release notes are now listed. 818 Product Firmware 4.00 (2016-01-22) New FeaturesDSP. Added MQA decoder and renderer (818v3). Software Fixes - Useful - May be useful to upgrade but not essentialUSB. Fixes occasional connection failure at power-up. Comms. Fixed displays for Meridian 504 Tuner.

Hi,
My Explorer is registered with Meridian (only bought it last week) so the file is on the "My products" page.
It appears to be on the Explorer support page now.
The Prime support page has version V1718 for the headphone amp.

so the file is on the "My products" page. I didn't see it there earlier even though my Explorer 2 is registered also. Now I can't even bring up the My Products page anymore. Keep getting logged out. It appears to be on the Explorer support page now. Indeed it is. Had to refresh the page. Seems we caught whoever is uploading this in the act. The Prime support page has version V1718. I noticed that too the files are identical (confirmed with MD5 hash). In any event, I get an error after I do a Scan with the uploader tool. It says: Found a Meridian Explorer 2 device ID: XXXXXX An error has been detected. Please contact Meridian Audio Support... Soundserge

Downloader worked okay on my Macbook Pro, scan found the Explorer 2 and updated to V1717 without problem.

OK, so I've updated my Prime to V1718. Typically Roon wanted to update at the same time so I need to wait for that to initialize before I can see whether that little hidden white light lights up or not.
