I see it as either Tidal embraces MQA or nothing happens. Tidal is the Key. Without streaming a new format doesn't stand much of a chance just because it's 'better'.
You need a convenient platform of delivery that people actually use.
Think of what Napster and later Spotify did and facilitated for lossy decoding MP3/ogg formats.
