Update via 2L post on Facebook:
We have now added MQA audio files to our free Test Bench. Firmware updates for the DACs to decode is still a few weeks away. Meridian Audio and Mytek will probably be the first devices enabling the full MQA.
Annoncement from CES today:
Dear Mytek Supporters, We are now at CES at the MQA Suite and a lot is happening in real time. So it's is in this thread. I'm equally excited about this new product, it really shines at CES, lots of interest and nothing exactly comparable.
As you have seen over the last two weeks we are very quickly adding and amending firmware features, and MQA feature is next. The hardware decoder is built in, but it has not yet been enabled in the shipped units because we cannot officially do this yet until we get a full approval and certification from MQA team who for the moment is with me in the room.
MQA 1.1 was just released very recently and 2L MQA files are there for very short time. I learned today OnkyoMusic has just starting putting theirs up. It's all very new, but we are working very fast to make them available to everybody, but of course before we do we need to test this for some minimum amount of time.
At the MQA suite we are demonstrating streaming of the MQA files of an internet server via wifi to a Brooklyn with MQA enabled. On the attached screenshot you see just that: Brooklyn is streaming a 2L MQA file which gets unveiled to original 24 bit 352k before conversion. The blue MQA logo means authenticated MQA.
Best Regards from Vegas, Michal at Mytek
