That's an interesting comment about another level on Tidal called Master. It leads me to believe that there will be a price increase if you want MQA encoded music. I could have sworn that I read somewhere that if you were already at the HiFi level, that the MQA files would be available at no extra cost.

You will have wait until 1st April, 2016 for a formal announcement from Meridian on their new MQA hardware.

I'd be very surprised if we'd see any major announcements. Why wait for the last hours? It would mean not having the opportunity to share and maximize it during the fair.

It was always going to be chicken-and-egg, but don't we now have the rather daft situation of being able to buy MQA "software" without any hardware / firmware existing to play it on ?
I guess that's not strictly true, as the clever backwards-compatibility should prevent that, but nevertheless....

Not just daft, when I reread some of M's recent literature (take the Prime and 808v6 as two examples) it's easy to argue that these items were missold as to their capabilities with respect to MQA. Given their price it's no wonder some folks are feeling peeved, particularly around the lack of communication.
Sooloos, Roon, G series (with LPS upgrade), 800 series (with LPS upgrade), HD621, AC200, Prime and PS, DSPs old and new.
