Good catch. Excitement clearly impaired my reading comprehension. Only a few more days then... I wonder, which labels will be providing the MQA-restored music (besides 2L)? Their press releases must be imminent too. And, when can I update my Explorer 2 firmware?

And, when can I update my Explorer 2 firmware? That's a very good question... I can't help feeling very underwhelmed with Meridian's CES 2016 announcements.
Sooloos, Roon, G series (with LPS upgrade), 800 series (with LPS upgrade), HD621, AC200, Prime and PS, DSPs old and new.

I've been thinking about this too. There are still two more days of CES. I wonder if Meridian decided to "hand the stage" to MQA first? Strategically, that may have been a good move.

Have MQA actually made any announcements of their own ?
Bearing in mind that Meridian & MQA are now "officially" separate entities, Meridian haven't said anything at CES2016 either.
After several setbacks or delays, I was under the impression that we were all eagerly & finally awaiting the "promised" announcements of firmware / hardware & software for our Meridian kit - or were we just "projecting"....?

Meridian doesn't actually have a stand at CES... They have a presence on the basis of all of the MQA people being (strictly) ex-Meridian people!

I have never seen a CES where Meridian did not have some attendance as Meridian nor one where they did not make some product announcements. They really have no new products to announce or any updates on when firmware to play MQA will become available? I know they probably have all hands busy promoting MQA which is great. Still, CES is a good time to announce such things to the public.

From what I've heard, Meridian still considers itself to "be there". Whether or not that will translate into product/product-readiness announcements, we'll know by Saturday evening...

Onkyo music reportedly offering MQA downloads starting Jan 8 (using 7digital platform). In addition, Onkyo is working with 7digital to include the MQA format into its high-resolution audio store, onkyomusic. From 8th January 2016, users will be able to access indie label MQA music in onkyomusic (which is powered by 7digital).

I wonder if Onkyo customers will actually be able to play MQA on the 8th? I further wonder whether Meridian customers will be able to play MQA on the 8th?
Somehow I doubt it, but I am really looking forward to Meridian's Saturday evening press release, Las Vegas time, of course.

I haven't yet heard of any scheduled press releases from Meridian at CES other than the MQA announcement earlier this week. Does anyone know for sure that there will be one and if so when? I am anxious to hear anything after all the hype over the last year+.
