Glad you liked Hector. smile It's pretty good isn't it. Mmm, I considered 'killer bass' but it's drum truthfully. Another thread perhaps? But that could escalate into many threads for many different types of music... whistle

Have you tried the other track/ album? I love accoustic guitar and this one is a class recording I think.

Ronnie Earl & Duke Robillard - The Duke Meets the Earl, absolutely my kind of music.... Blues with a hint of jazz, fantastic.

Here's an oldie: Fritz Wunderlich singing Adelaide.

Recently heard again many years after Dad playing it regularly as I grew up. Instantly knew every note. Brilliant.

I have discovered some great tracks I may never have found had someone not posted the details either here or elsewhere.

Just wanted to share a couple of recently discovered tracks/artists - won't be to everyone's taste but what is!

Popa Chubby - Hey Joe and Hallelujah (Album the essential Popa Chubby).

House of the rising sun - the white buffalo (album sons of anarchy season 4 finale) would love to hear this through some DSP8000's, incredible vocal.

I am always discovering new artists/tracks via Qobuz and Spotify but thought there were worth highlighting.

I am rather enjoying Bill Withers Live at Carnegie Hall from 1972 from Tidal.
It just bowls along nicely.
Enjoy, Chris 😎

P.S. It just gets better, perfect for a Sunday evening chill out.

No 18 in the Hall of fame smile I have simple tastes; I am content to settle for the best:
GIK monster bass panels, rear wall. QNAP TVS 471i3. Roon into DSP5200SE via 210/ 218 zone... Explorer 2. Bluesound Pulse 2, Mini & Flex. 596v1, 518, Foxsat HD, Sony BDP, Pioneer 5090, 2 Chromecast's for LRB videos. MS200 to F80 for a Roon zone

I have three albums two of which are doubles by The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, not really a band but a large group of performers who got together over time to overcome the resistance to change in the traditional Blue Grass music scene.

These albums were also released as a trilogy as a tribute to the Old Timers who resisted change but finally accepted the values and performances of a younger generation.

All albums bear the name "Will the Circle Be Unbroken".
A serious question or simply rhetorical is for the listener to decide (perhaps both).

If you are not familiar with this music have a dig and take note of the extraordinary credits/line ups.

With names such as Scruggs, Cash, Bush, Harris, Krauss, Carter and Watson to name but a few, if you like Bluegrass/Country you will not be disappointed.

Familiar stuff, highly recommended.

I usually like my music heavy going and miserable but don't really like much mainstream stuff. However, checkout Split Milk by Jellyfish which is (IMO) an album of pop perfection from a band you've probably never heard of.

Recommended to me this week:

Mariza - Portuguese fado singer. Great voice, amazing recordings and a great run out for the DSPs. Most albums available on TIDAL. Fabulous!
