Such good news that the MQA initiative is now being driven from at least one artist (Amy) in an upward direction.
Happy to match such a commitment and buy, even though still finding it difficult to spend the big bucks needed to get the best.

That's a good question, will the CD be MQA encoded or just the download. If you pledge this album, will the two early tracks be MQA encoded WAV files? MP3 is also available.
If yes, you could get some early MQA material now. We shall see. Chris 🙂

Just to clarify, the 2 promo tracks currently available from Amy are not MQA encoded. The are just 16/44.1 WAVs (or MP3).
I would imagine that any MQA material will come separately next year and be tied to Meridian/MQA marketing strategy.

For those that haven't watched the video, in response to a question on the availability of MQA Bob S clearly states that "between now and the end of this year" there will be "several places offering downloads of (MQA) files" that can be played.

I think MQA is one of the most important developments in the history of digital audio. This in the letters page in January's Stereophile. The writer is the producer of the 2015 Judy Collins "Strangers Again" album. He has more to say about MQA so it's worth checking out.

I see that Paul Stephenson from Naim says MQA has potential, but doesn't make the grade on sound quality in his opinion. Mind you, the M & N philosophies are pretty far apart in many ways.
