A further interesting modern 'Robin Hood' like article about TIDAL from Forbes no less.(well it is Forbes) is a concept described by them as taking a leaf out of one B Obama's book!

It actually sounds like a pretty good business model & would if adopted, help stop people complaining about Jay Z et al being moneygrabbers and will, far more importantly, help the much much smaller bands out there get a rung on the ladder etc etc.

Note to self. Must start looking at Forbes website more often!

Spotify: 99 Problems but Jay Z aint one

Further evidence published today in the the U.S. by the LA Times regarding TIDALs current malaise. Makes the previous post seem even more relevant!

Maybe someone should tweet, Instagram or just plain old telephone Mr Carter to put him in touch with Will Burns the author of the Forbes article to try and prevent the TIDAL App that recently dropped out of the top 700 on the App Store plummeting any further.

The relentless stream(!) of TIDAL bashing continues, this time on Bloomberg Why JZ's TIIDAL has been a complete disaster.

This is a pretty hard hitting piece (as the title conveys), but the main issue here is about licensing agreements with the big three labels NOT being part of the TIDAL purchase deal! Two of the three have apparently agreed, but SONY appear to be haggling for more money, which has led to embarrassing stories such as this one Beyonce's music to be removed from TIDAL? which though was denied last night SONY says Beyonce's music will not be removed from TIDAL is a pretty good example of the different stratosphere that news about TIDAL has moved on to since the self-styled

rapper & his 'Avengers' mates purchased TIDAL.

Also, Jay Zeds retort to the article in the previous post would appear to ratchet up the 'tit-for-tat' wars with the Spotify CEO with Jay Z best album pulled from Spotify, now on TIDAL.

The upshot of all of this is worrying news for us, the subscribers. The business model is I'm afraid looking increasingly flawed and with the Apple Beats streaming service launch now only a few days away, things could get a lot worse (before they get better?)

It would appear that new Windows & Mac versions of the software have been launched today and also a Ticket purchasing element has been added!

Yes, it's finally happened, the doubting Thomases have (almost) been silenced.

Although the above is good news, it would help if Mr Z remembers he actually owns TIDAL? Jay Z 'forgets' he own music streaming service in court!

The above relates to his use of a sample (of just four notes) from an Egyptian love ballad called Khosara Khosara which he used (I'm sure appropriately) in his Big Pimpin' song with that nice Mr Timbaland (the American Producer & Boot manufacturer). See the (never) usually reliable story in the Daily Fail Even Jay Z forgets about TIDALs existence.

So things (possibly) on the up, but maybe that's because of this (almost) story from Variety Samsung to buddy up to TIDAL?. Even a buy out is a possibility, or is it just an arrangement to maybe have a TIDAL preload on their devices including the Galaxy smartphones?

and finally...

It would appear Mr Z has been ringing up TIDAL subscribers! Jay Z rings up subscribers personally to thank them. I've not had a call have you?

It would appear that Mr Z has just announced that TIDAL will show a hard hitting drama series about Drug Dealers (called 'Money & Violence') and also a Stand Up Comedy Series (called 'No Small Talk') as well!

TIDAL branches into Drama & Comedy

I suppose the latter would be an improvement on the Boxing fiasco, but I'd hazard a guess that the words 'TIDAL & comedy' will appear in quite a few jokes, put downs & unflattering headlines in the next few days!

Although lots of very positive feedback in the sector about MQA, you would think that TIDAL might be shouting out their involvement from the rooftops on that rather than adding TV series to their roster?

OK so we probably could of guessed this, but it least it's there in black & white!

Yep can't argue with that ... these are devices we presently know will be able to support MQA:

- Sooloos
- 808v6
- 818v3
- SE speakers
- Explorer2
- Prime headphone amp

After that it's a walk in mist, I've given up speculating and now wait to see how it pans out.
