The X-Men films, actually.
I surprise myself here, as I thought I'd find them a bit 'silly', and there is a little bit of that in a couple of them, but overall they are a terrific set of films.
I have a few film 'lists' on the go, as a way of seeing films that I wouldn't otherwise consider; initially the IMDb Top 250 as a target (at time of writing I've seen 242 / 250), & 'X-Men Days Of Future Past' is on that list. Not expecting it to be my thing I thought I'd just buy that film but then got the previous 6 films for a song on Bluray & set about them.
IMO, the best of them ('X-M Origins: Wolverine', 'First Class' & 'Days Of Future Past') are just brilliant action films with amazing visuals & amazing audio. I don't think I've seen any films with as much surround channel energy & the visuals are constantly eye-popping. Not just eye candy though, the scripts are consistently clever & much of the acting is first rate.
Highly recommended if you ever fancy a 21st Century blockbuster.
