FWIW, I'm expecting a performance boost with all material as a result of the MQA R&D. The 818v3 could (potentially) apodize RBCD to 176k and transmit to DSP loudspeakers using MQA over MHR.
Total speculation on my part, but it seems "logical". I was told last February that the new 808 would bring improved sound to CD replay. This is correct. I heard that the upsampling in the 818v3/808v6 is completely new and comes directly out of the MQA research of the past 5 years. It's going to be a big deal for replay of standard definition material too. Patience, friends! It will be worth it!
