Jaapaap,

The screen technology for the Control:XX is very old, and modern touch screens are significantly better in terms of multi gesture swiping etc. I also understand (do correct me if I'm wrong) that the M Core units (not sure about the MD600) run Embedded XP. Since Windows is ending its support for XP this means that M really needed to find an alternative OS for Sooloos.

M have taken the opportunity to rethink the Sooloos architecture to provide the QNAP Core software (which removes the requirement for M to get involved in storage hardware) and the ability to run a more elegant and much cheaper GUI (think of the Touch PC as a replacement for the Control:One - no M audio output).

M can now get on with the things that matter - great Zone hardware with the MS200 up to the ID41 - knowing that the rest of their system requirements can be handled using hardware from third party manufacturers.

Sooloos, Roon, G series (with LPS upgrade), 800 series (with LPS upgrade), HD621, AC200, Prime and PS, DSPs old and new.

Purdeys, Moke, Leica, 'Blad. Only the best.
