Between her withdrawal from Spotify last year... and her exploits today with Apple in getting them to back down on Royalty Payments... Taylor Swift is certainly effecting a lot of potential change in the Music Industry.

Of course, she now needs to focus the same laser beam on the greedy Music Companies themselves, who take 65 to 70% of the Revenues... as well as "Lump Sum" payments without passing them onto the Artists.

She deserves credit for her efforts... just please don't make me listen to her music

Greedy artist against greedy music company, not ours war clearly.

I hear this a lot and wonder what is the solution is, if you believe this? Are artists obligated to give their music away or is there a cap on the level of compensation that people are looking for? If the latter, how and by whom?

I am not sure that is a rebuttal as much as it's a photographer in the industry that is a little sore he doesn't have the same power she does. The fact is, TS has done as much for recording artists and any of the starving artists or angry populists have ever done, while also enriching herself. His issue seems to sit with her contract which gives her unwavering rights over her very likness... Which is her brand. TS should do everything she can do, to protect her brand, including who can use professional images of her. When Jason's name is synonymous with Ansel Adams, then we can talk. You can rest assured that if Jason could control the distribution of this images to the level that TS has and get paid for it, he would.

I still want to know when you label a corporation or a recording artist as greedy, what is the solution or what are you suggesting? Its a slippery slope.
