Just wondered what other members had on their shortlist for first MQA purchases?

Best

On a serious note, it would be very interesting to see how MQA delivers such a "recording", given that all spaces have a unique acoustic. Coughs, clearing of throats, etc. smile

Okay, I really want a copy of Metallica/Enter Sandman...

Plus all the Dylan.

And the Ella and Louis.

Simply because I've already heard it and it's amazing.

Apart from the usual suspects (Pink Floyd / Roger Waters / Led Zeppelin etc) I hope that a lot more contemporary music - even electronic - are re-released, as Meridian kit can really show off musicianship / talent across the genres.
Of course, there's the perennial problem of whether I want to purchase the same things yet again....

A new challenge for MQA.

Gretchen Peters Trio (Live). My number one reference album.

Not sure how this can get any better, but would be a true test of MQA.

The first track, Museum won the prestigious "Focal Free Headphone Award" at the 2014 Bristol Show for my friend and talented upholsterer, Mark Robinson, a member here. The room was reduced to stunned silence on hearing this competition submission.

Funny you should mention that. I just ripped three recordings of that, one of which is indeed a single containing only that.

Have you ever played it live, Ludwig? Do they split the single onto two sides? If not, what's the B-side? 4'33" No 2 by John Cage?

No, I haven't, although my Dad did once when I was a kid.

It's a CD single, and only has that piece on it, in three tracks (because it's in three movements).

I do have a silent LP, but it's the work of someone else. eek

Does it click between tracks?
