Yes, but, Sooloos and the Meridian hardware currently limits the signal to 96/24. Downsampling is fine, but, it may be that M can encapsulate the 192 (and beyond) material from DoP etc into an MQA style package.
Then we might get the full-fat signal to the end points in the chain.
The same is true of MQA as well so the two things are probably part of the same story. I hope Roon could also use the same approach.

This is just speculation though so hopefully we'll hear from HQ soon about all this.
