What is a good microphone and where can I buy one to assist me with the 861 Meridian Room Correction process Thanks ZAK

One of these would be good, it is what I used, you are measuring timing rather than audio quality so you do not need to spend too much.

Thanks for the link Ratbert. Yes just measuring timing. Also does the sound level meter plug into the Card 800-IA00 (A1 RCA's). I'm new to Meridian equipment, but the sound quality is outstanding.

Also How do I hook up the HD621 to the 861, being I do not have a card with MMHR input. I know have to use Smartlink (4 x phono ). More of this will make better sense to me once I receive my RS232 cable and I go threw the setup procedure. Thanks again for link. ZAK

Hi Zak

When you run MRC It prompts you to make sure you have the microphone into the correct phono connector, it also gives you the opportunity to select a different port if the suggested one was already in use.
Have a read of the HD621 manual I think that will have the answer to your connectivity questions?
