The fact that others are not impacted does point to M. Especially odd it hasn't Impact Roon ?

There's no doubt that I'm only potentially interested in Tidal as an integrated part of a quality streaming system. For my situation, the only other obvious host for this is Roon, though obviously that involves additional expenditure. Interesting that Roon has not been affected.

I would like to ask something of Meridian, if you have a wide definitive disrupt to the Streaming Tidal service. You need to tell people in a good way so that they don't tear their hair out. Right now we have an post inside a normal thread, not a new thread.

For example:

1. Sooloos Message
2. New thread on HH.
3. Notification on M support web page

DSP8000SE, DSP7200SEHC, DSP5200SE sides, DSP7200SE rears, 861v8, 210, Sim2 Ultranero 4, Stewart Cinecurve 2.35:1, XEIT CM-5E Anamorphic lens, Dune HD Duo Cinema 8K and Wireworld Platinum 48G HDMI -> UHD722 -> Shunyata Omega Ethernet. Shunyata/Furutech power-cables/filters. SR Master Fuse@861v8. Uptone Etherregen with 10MHz OCXO clock.

I agree, we have been messing about for hours trying to get it fixed.

1. Should not have happened

2. Where is "partnership" between TIDAL and Meridian

3. And why no general high alert post as soon as it was identified

By the way TIDAL support is non existent- zero response to any question.

And I just signed up for £19.99/ month!!

The one thing the "outage" has shown me is how quickly Tidal tracks have spread through my playlists. I sure do miss it!

I've been replacing my MP3 tracks with Tidal tracks.

... wish I had read this thread earlier ... frown

I spent the last couple of hours trying to work out what the heck was going on, haven't used the system in a while due to excessive work hours and thought I'd got something setup wrong.

Fortunately I remembered I never cancelled my Napster licence.

As a suggestion, perhaps M could use the message capability on the C15 to alert users of there is a problem. Now that would be properly pro-active.

(and thanks Des for the updates here at least.)

Just a message to Meridian HQ:

Although the info from Meridan HQ on this form is appreciated, I strongly advice M to improve their communication to its current customer base:

email, online (Facebook), website

So, once again: when is Tidal stream working again (a further update from M is appreciated...)?

Thanks!

I am seriously surprised how little anger there is being expressed.
Perhaps I am being too cruel BUT this is a system people are paying £240 a year for...
Neither Meridian or Tidal have given timescales for repair.
agreed Des has commented and it is welcomed. BUT to not wish to raise our expectation is perhaps not good enough?
I for one will not be signing up when my free period ends. £240 per year will buy me a great deal of CDs online.....

I tend to agree Malc.

I recently started my paid subscription to Tidal, after changing my opinion of how useful it would be during the free trial.

Now I'm wavering back. While already being a fiver down on the deal (not a good start, but hardly going to force me to need foodbanks) it's the lack of communication and bad omens for the future partnership that bothers me.

You are? Malcontent towards M tends to get struck down on this board fairly quickly.

I think the lack of outcry is likely due to the awkward nature of the TIDAL's integration into Sooloos. Everyone has alternative to listen to, given they are using their Sooloos system to access TIDAL. I imagine that someone who is really looking for the most out of TIDAL, will be drawn to the Roon option for now. (speaking of my own experience here) Also, no one is paying for Sooloos today. I would expect when it gets to that point, the platform will be more stable.
