Departures; the Japanese film which won Best Foreign film Oscar a few years ago. It's funny, very moving, beautifully played & has some wonderful music (one of the main characters is a cellist). Very highly recommended, and it looks & sounds wonderful on blu-ray.

As an aside, I try not to watch my favourite films very often as I like to come at them afresh each time, but recently I've been going through an Epic phase and have played blu-rays of Gone With The Wind, Once Upon A Time In America (extended version at ~ 4hrs 10!), Dr Zhivago, Dances With Wolves, Forrest Gump & Ben-Hur. For all of them it was only my second viewing but each & every one was an amazing, magical experience.
