Just to be clear. I am not saying others are wrong by backing up files as insurance. Like any other insurance you weigh risk versus reward. For myself I would see a crash as an opportunity to rid myself of music I no longer care to listen to. I am into playing music not collecting it. None of my music is irreplaceable.
