You could presumably go to very high bitrates over ethernet, but it all depends on what the endpoints (e.g. ID40/41) are capable of receiving. I have a suspicion that they *may* max at 96/24.

Bearing in mind it is possible not only to rip DSD, but also download native DSD files, that's what I thought was implied too.
