I've had an interesting interaction on the iPhone Tidal app over the last couple of days when trying to see why certain tracks skipped or didn't play.
The Tidal app actually said "the record label doesn't allow this track to be streamed"..... before moving onto the next track. In Sooloos while I have saved the album to my library and all the tracks from the album are in the library there is no indication of this "limitation"... it just skips the track onto the next track that I presume IS allowed to be streamed by the label.

Is that what Tidal advises? Doesn't make sense, I can play the skipped tracks when I (re)select them, nothing to do with being allowed or not I would think?
Track 2 also often skips when I select to play picked tracks only, then track #2 is not necessarily the album track 2...
Cheers!
PS: Do I misread iPhone and Tidal for having an actual conversation with them... Must be now I reread your post.

Same here, I can play the skipped track if I re select it. I hope this is a bug that can be solved. Chris

It's a screen that pops up at the bottom of the Tidal app, not anything specific that they "advise".
I've only seen it on one album but it's the same in my Sooloos and doesn't play if I reselect it.
Maybe an odd one out that's confusing the real issue.

I get the track 2 skip quite a bit, but yesterday I got my first ever Tidal cannot stream this album message.
At first I thought it might only be a restriction on the CD quality version, but I got the same message with the same album on my phone and tablet apps. This was a whole album too. Not just one track.
Begs the question what it's doing there at all if they don't have the rights to stream it. I can only imagine that deals are being done all the time.

I have received that cannot stream this track message on Control:Mac in the past. There was one album where only one track (maybe 6) would play but none of the others. It wasn't like the track 2 skipping issue because you could not go back and select the skipped track and it would then play.

Here is a bug. Just pressed play now on a Tidal Track as It didn't respond to 'Play Next', and although the track is playing fine, core control shows a different track playing from the 'Play Queue'. Re starting the app made no difference, a play count has registered after the event.

So far I've found TIDAL via Sooloos unusable. I can play at most one track I want. The rest just skips or stops. Bandwidth is not the issue. I just did a speed test and got a 112 Mbps down/9.7 Mbps up result. It's a free trial, I suppose I'm getting what I pay for. I'll stick with Rhapsody for now.

Not "unusable" here just buggy. I wish either Meridian or Tidal would accept responsibility and communicate openly, and advise they are working on a fix.

I've been using Tidal through PCs for the last couple of days. A lot slower to start a song or change to a new one on demand than Spotify. It also seemed to trash my PCs internet connection at times. It doesn't surprise me if it's a bit buggy with Sooloos. It must be a pain to troubleshoot though!
I contacted TIDAL about the track skipping and this is the answer I got.

Hello Petter,
Thank you for contacting TIDAL customer support. I have now reported this to our HiFi specialist who will contact Meridian about this. Hopefully Meridian can fix it as soon as possible.
