I'm inclined to agree.

I think my first reaction was 'Sooloos hasn't been updated in a while (new streaming provider aside)' and 'did the major upgrade to Sooloos just disappear?'.

Having had a chance to play with Tidal on Sooloos properly, I would say it is very well integrated and it seems Meridian to have the ability to move Sooloos forward, although I'm not sure how much focus this will have, given the importance of their work on MQA.

Given the choice, I would probably prefer Meridian to focus on making MQA a success and have another vendor dedicated to making Roon a success.

I also believe that anyone migrating from Sooloos to Roon has the likely upside of less expensive server components and greater compatibility across the home. Anyone staying with Meridian may not see the updates they will see on Roon, but I really don't think Meridian will pull the plug on it either.

Overall, I feel somewhat optimistic about the change (but not without a little apprehension).
