No, I did not "add to library". Will try that first before messing with cables.
Is there a "how to for dummies" instruction set posted anywhere?

Yeah, I know - how 20th century...

Find an album you like, click on the + symbol and Add to library. That's it. Then it behaves just like anything else you have with Tidal instead of CD in the quality field.
You can add and edit metadata as normal.

When I remove an album which I added thru Tidal the core is loosing connection with the iPad. When it comes back on the zone are coming up but the playlist are empty.

Also after updating to the latest version of Sooloos the core disappears over night and I have to reboot the MD600.

I got trouble as soon the previous update was installed. The music stops playing randomly. After changing my router that problem was gone. Now with the new router and Tidal update it acts as subscribed above.

I really am disappointed from day 1 the updates were installed. Before updating I never rebooted my MD600.

Hi all,

I'm running 2.449 but I've not subscribed to Tidal yet and my Core's uptime is
11 days 1 hours 44 minutes 37 seconds wink which is from when it was updated.

Also playing from my local library is still rocksolid so whilst not conclusive this does suggest something's not quite right when Tidal is in use.

The only minor issue I've seen on my system is that a Core Control the Review tab is always highlighted.

I'll setup a Tidal account now, and see how that affects stability.

Regards,
Carl

Removing Tidal item from library definitely kills core on my MC200, just as many others have described on other pieces of kit.

That said, how often do you delete a imported album from Sooloos? May be a non Tidal specific issue?

Is anyone else getting Zone dropout when playing from a tidal playlist saved to your playlists?
Could you try please as it seem to be a problem here.

Hi Ian,
That's a good point, so I've just tested that too (1 album at first, then I deleted 10) and all is well ... no reboots.

I also tested restoring them, which fortunately worked, so I did not have to re-rip.

So the spot light remains on the Tidal integration (which was a pretty safe bet).

Regards,
Carl

From what I've seen in the logs (posted earlier in this thread), my hunch is that the crash/reboot is caused by an attempt by the Core to delete files that exist for a regular local album and perhaps a Rhapsody album, but not a Tidal album.

I'm not in a position to test this at the moment, but it would be interesting to try to manually delete one of the .fse or other required files for a local album and then attempt to delete this album via Control:Mac/PC.

Well, I followed these instructions, but get the same behavior. Added an album to my library. Used "browse" to select it, hit play now. First track "loads", starts playing for a couple seconds, then the stops, with the zones window popping up without our ID41 showing in the list. After another couple of secs, the ID40 reappears in the zone list.

Tidal plays fine on my iPhone here in the house, and on the road (wifi and cellular respectively).

Guess I'm messing with Ethernet cabling today. Ug.

I have removed several Rhapsody albums after replacing them with the Tidal version. No reboots here. So it is probably a Tidal/Sooloos issue not across the board.

Still no joy. I managed to get one Tidal work to play in its entirety. The next track I had placed in the queue (different album, also a Tidal import) stopped after a few seconds when the ID41 zone was dropped. Now nothing Tidal will play through, like it's been doing for me.

This after running a new hardwire from our router to a 5-port switch off of which the MC200, QNAP and 861 are connected. I also power cycled the MC200 and 861 before this last trial. That one work did play through. Thought I had it nailed. Then the problem resurfaced.

What else can I try?

John

I still have a problem here. At first the music stopped playing randomly. This was after the first update. I bought a new router and the problem was solved. The old router is still functioning perfectly elswere so I find it very weird that the problem began after the update.

With the latest update with Tidal intregration the Core is invisible minimum once a day and I have to reboot it. I had a full working Meridian system and I never had to shut down the MD600 before updating the software.

I really hate my system right now. I just can't enjoy it anymore. Every time I open my Core Control app I must pray that the system works.

I just spend alot of money on SE speakers, traded in all my gear so I can order a 818v3 soon and now I got a really crappy system. A squeezebox is outperforming the Sooloos system by miles at the moment.
