For the last several hours, I haven't been able to import any files due to an infinite Sooloos meta data service connect wait. Is anyone else experiencing this?

Also, is there any way to bypass this so I can do the import and enter the data myself?

Thanks

Eventually the metadata lookup timed out for me ... so I imported my first CD of the evening. Be very patient, it might have taken an hour to time out - I walked away for a while.

Clearly there is a dependency on a Cloud service that has crashed. Maybe they need to be schooled on lLnux REPEATscripts :-)

Or maybe they are having a party tonight :-)

Addendum : the 2nd CD took about 5 minutes to timeout from the metadata lookup.

Timeout is usually no more than a few minutes for me.

This is unusual. I've been using Sooloos for years, and have only seen one very-brief interruption of service.

It's usually super-reliable.

Who runs and pampers this service now?

Probably better to switch to the Roon codebase ASAP? We will all end up there anyways(?)

I have only been using it for about 3 weeks, but the service is horrendous. Surely there is a better way to run this system?

When you say the system is down, what do you mean?

I often find albums with no data, Mark Knopfler's latest for example.
I had to add all the data myself. But that hasn't worked forever as I have waited before import and finally gave in to manual import yesterday. Yet more obscure albums had plenty of data, so the system is UP but often incomplete.

Thoughts, Chris

No 18 in the Hall of fame smile I have simple tastes; I am content to settle for the best:
GIK monster bass panels, rear wall. QNAP TVS 471i3. Roon into DSP5200SE via 210/ 218 zone... Explorer 2. Bluesound Pulse 2, Mini & Flex. 596v1, 518, Foxsat HD, Sony BDP, Pioneer 5090, 2 Chromecast's for LRB videos. MS200 to F80 for a Roon zone
