The database only appears to contain a shorthand link to Tidal for each track. Things like cover art and reviews do appear to be downloaded.

So, presumably, though we think we've added it to our library, we are still streaming it so couldn't listen without a functioning internet connection ? Surely that defeats the 'listen offline' facility?

There is nothing to suggest that any offline Tidal is enabled in Sooloos. When you add an album to library it is still streaming from the web. As Ian mentioned above the artwork is added so that you can see that in the album browse views.

The album I am on about is Robert Plant Lullaby ... The Ceaseless Roar.

It won't stream either in full, track 1 only. I will ask Tidal about it, perhaps Plant only allow 1 track for streaming in CD quality.

It is only track 2, Rainbow, that is available to stream on Tidal, the Tidal PC app does indicate that you can buy it to stream although isn't clear about how you would go about doing this.

Most importantly not a Sooloos/M issue!

Well that pretty much explains some of the playback glitches then. I think I'd prefer to be able to use Tidal's offline facility within Sooloos. The large storage capacity would suit far better than the limited storage of an iPhone or iPad. It would eliminate any bandwidth or internet problems too. In fact, I might consider it a deal-breaker for my purposes.

Still, I will see how I feel about it over the trial period.

I had an odd one this morning. Looking at a partially played play queue (which was mostly populated with Tidal tracks), I started skipping back and forth throu it and selected one track that had not yet been played. In front of my eyes, CC started to sequentially select tracks one after another, with a short pause (fraction of a second) on each before, after about 5 tracks, settling on a track and starting to play.

It was almost as if it could not stream a track so moved on to the next one, but it seemed too quick to dismiss a track and move on for that.

It's then probably best for me to download the Tidal app on my iPad to check what's available indeed.

Too bad but most of all pleased it is not a Sooloos 2.2 bug. Good thing about this, I have a reason to buy a CD!

This then only leaves the question about why Sooloos logs off and the App needs reconnecting after deleting a Tidal album from the library.

Cheers!

Ian, that happened exactly with the Robert Plant album of which I just learned it is not avaialable for streaming. Odd that it happens at an active playlist though.

Seems to be a very common issue as it happens in Tidal Playlists e.g. "All Krall".

This is a particularly good list (of DK albums) but is spoilt by this annoying continuity failure.

Perhaps a responsible Tidal employee should be invited to join the Forum.

Secondly a thread to contain reports of Sooloos / Tidal issues could be created, to address these "Beta Testing" findings.

Just my thoughts,
Hector

I thought the same. I'll drop them a line.

Do they in fact have their own support forum somewhere?

Hi Ludwig

Thank you.

I did not find a dedicated independent forum. However a thread does exist within Naim!

Regards Hector
