I wrote down my observations on the new Core Control at the top of this thread.

First impressions, even SWMBO is impressed. Adding albums is easy it's only the eventual costs that troubles her as we have so much music already.

If you have few albums, this is a no brainier.

Some albums do lack metadata, so it will be interesting to see if this updates automatically over time or do we have to re load albums to check?

I have experienced the following on three occasions in the last two days.

Album is selected from Tidal via C15 and first track plays. Second track starts and stops after approximately 4 seconds. The third track then plays and album plays normally to the end.

Most frustrating, anyone else experiencing this unacceptable error?

I haven't noticed the problem with the second track stopping.

Hector - exactly the same thing happening here. Second track plays for a second then skips to track 3. Not good...

I've had a second track skip once so far.

I have also got a Tidal issue once and a while. I noticed that my system skips often the first track of a Tidal album.

Just rebooted the MD and hope it is better now.

I've had skipping issues too, though I can't quite nail down a pattern yet

Smooth upgrade to MC200.
Registered and added Tidal easily.
Surprised at sound quality. Even found some recordings that sound better than ripped CD... Hmmm maybe remastered versions of the tracks I own?

Compared some Claire Martin tracks to 24/96 Linn hires downloads of hers that I own. Not as much difference as I would have thought. Hires better but subtle. Also compared a compressed Linkin Park track to the Tidal version. Noticeable improvement with Tidal (as anticipated).

So far so good, but had first Sooloos glitch. Refused to play some high res downloads (no sound but play counter incrementing). Tried several times with no sound. Never experienced this before this version. Then tried another track then switched back and all was OK again. Hoping that doesn't repeat!

Tidal search is basic but it works. I even found my friend Kerenza Peacock's new album of composer Oliver Davis's latest work 'Flight' on it already. Of course you should all go and buy a copy not just stream it

So yes Des, these developments are contributing to my enjoyment by opening up new musical horizons without resorting to compromising on quality. Roll on MQA.

I have had that happen on a couple of occasions. I will watch to see how often this occurs.

I notice, when playing individual tracks on an album you can only play now or next with Tidal. If you add a track to queue, nothing appears in the queue.
This is probably just how it is. Still sounds great though. Chris
