Actually, looks like we may not be using HDMI at all in a minute...  4K over USB and WiFi

4K over wifi - I can just imagine how stable that's going to be
Main system - Sources (Kodi-HTPC, Vero 4k, FireTV, Sat) into Trinnov Altitude 32 (8-16) (+Roon), Trinnov Amplitude 8 amp & Vivid Audio (Giya G3, V1.5) and REL Stentor III speakers. Others: F80 + Raspberry Pi and other Pi systems.

Lol, yep! Mine can't even stream Netflix reliably

I am adding a Sony VW 1100ES with the Sony FMP-X1 device. I will try to see if it can pass 4k through the HD621.

I can confirm that the HD621 *will* pass at least 2160p24 and 2160p30  Tested with output from an Oppo 103 onwards to a Sony VW1000ES Are you also experiencing drifting lip-sync when have the Motion Enhancer is active (on low in my case)?

This is good news! but the UHD spec is 4k@60Hz... We need to try with the Sony media player FMP-X10 and the VPL-VW1100ES.

Have others been able to successfully get their HD621 to work with 2160p@30 ?
My X85 UHD Sony linked to a Beelink via an HD621 will only show 2160p with artifacts. When connected directly to the TV it works fine.
I will check but pretty sure my HD621 runs latest firmware.
Of course it is not formally supported, but it would be nice if it would work (as reported here).

I do not think so... my guess is it is currently out of spec, but like with 3D there is a possibility they can update the software.

Try without the wireless - HDMI(?) Beelink in the chain and report back please.

The Beelink R89 is the player that produces the 4k signal.
When I remove it, there is no signal.
When I put it on 1080p I get a nice 1080p signal on my TV through the HD621.
When input it on 2160p it only works direct to the TV, via the HD621 I get artifacts.

I've ordered an HDMI 4k splitter, allowing me to route both to HD621 and TV, which should allow me to have best of both worlds

Just to revive this thread...
Been playing 2160/24 and 2160/30 demo videos through the HD621 this morning, without issues, using a HiMedia Q10. Sound was only 2CH PCM however, so perhaps multichannel PCM on top of 2160p breaks the camel's back?!
So, if you can find a way around the HDCP 2.2 handshake, it seems the HD621 will happily play UHD blu-ray and the like.
