You will be able to have an MQA input for 200 with an Explorer 2 and an a analog input.

The point of MQA is that it is accessible to all but a full DSP SE and associated processor will get the VERY best from it.
It was ever thus.

Thoughts, Chris smile

GIK monster bass panels, rear wall. QNAP TVS 471i3. Roon into DSP5200SE via 210/ 218 zone... Explorer 2. Bluesound Pulse 2, Mini & Flex. 596v1, 518, Foxsat HD, Sony BDP, Pioneer 5090, 2 Chromecast's for LRB videos. MS200 to F80 for a Roon zone

I disagree Chris. The ADC, processing in the 861 and DSP loudspeakers, will probably smear the time response. Worth trying though...

I agree it won't be perfect but it should be superior to anything else up to the processor, so some real world testing and evaluation will be required.
If it completely kills all the advantages of the source MQA file then We will know what we know.. Chris smile

Such a shame they dropped the digital out from Explorer 2.

I believe that Toslink missing is specifically on purpose. Having a MQA Toslink interface on the cheap is not what M wants.

I've watched the YouTube video with Richard head of engineering explaining the DSP SE and EBA... I believe that those DSP are a great part of the MQA standard ... Time alignment is in the speaker I thought was due to their new view on the DSP speaker side for the greatest part.

And Richard telling that bass time alignment problem not affecting small speakers like the DSP3200 was an eye opening. I know why I love monitor size speakers.
