That's because the numbers on the eBay speakers match the numbers I was given by his friend Scott who claims to reside in Texas.

Scott is the person that originally contacted me and wanted to sell me his pairs of 5200s with the following serial numbers... D5200-401199A/B

When I told him I was only interested in one 5200 he referred me to his friend Lori in Louisiana who apparently had already sold of his other 5200 to another person thus left with only one 5200.

Lori sent me a picture of the rear panel of his left over 5200 with the following number... D5200-401668B.

Today he came back to me and offered the other speaker because the other buyer backed out and that serial number was
D5200-401668A, the matching pair.

All the pictures sent to me were from the same room/house which are the ones on eBay UK.

I'm not holding my breath anymore and I think I'm going to lose my deposit that was sent two days ago via an electronic transfer. I did ask my bank to instigate a "recall" today but that may take several days to happen and if the money is deposited in the account before the recall takes affect I'm well screwed.
