Touch...

The following question is phrased so as not to get into the details of how Meridian might achieve the following:

Will non-SE MHR capable DSP loudspeakers deliver greater time resolution with MQA material than they are currently able to with 96/24 MHR feeds, above and beyond the inherent improvements in, say, an non-decoded 96k MQA stream?

Will a 562V.2 (or other Meridian switching device) pass an MQA MHR signal at data rates >96/24 ?

Can any pre-MQA Meridian processor process the MHR output from an MQA source? i.e. Can you put, say, a G68 (for room correction, time alignment, DSP presets, etc.), in between an MQA MHR source and MHR-capable loudspeakers? (and not lose the MQA benefits that would exist if the source was connected directly to the loudspeakers)

What level of encoding will analogue sources be able to benefit from in M processors with MQA?

Will M processors support higher input sampling frequencies than currently, utilising somehow the new possibilities of the MQA path? (352kHz files are available for sale, as are DSD at high rates.)

Given that a large proportion of people will have a mixture of MQA and non-MQA capable playback devices, many of which will prefer to store only one format of files, can Meridian confirm that the optimum format to acquire music in would be an MQA encoded 24/96 PCM file with lossless compression to suit the user?

Cheers,

Tony.

1. How will MQA work (If at all) in a multichannel all digital system if not all DSP speakers are MQA enabled?

2. Will MQA be available for only Speakerlink enabled products or for Hybrid-Speakerlink products as well?

3. Is there any latency associated with MQA and if so what is it?

Cheers,

Tony.
