OK. Now adding albums.

So ripping a CD with the C10 is the same as it was with 1GB RAM in RM TwinStore.

However, uploading a XLD file with Control:Mac is MUCH faster which so be expected.

And just using the system via C10 is much snappier.

So for me adding the 2nd RAM stick is a winner.

BTW I can confirm that the RAM in my RM TwinStores is 800MHz.

I'll report on the iPad app soon.

Well looking at the debug screen I see that my C10 is reporting 1Gb of memory even though it has 2Gb

My RM TS is also showing 1Gb even though I have 2Gb installed

Not sure what's going on

Perhaps your observations are just a placebo effect?

Could you try actually timing the differences you think you've experienced between 1MB and 2MB?

Sooloos, Roon, G series (with LPS upgrade), 800 series (with LPS upgrade), HD621, AC200, Prime and PS, DSPs old and new.

Purdeys, Moke, Leica, 'Blad. Only the best.

The point is we know the C10 comes from the factory with 2Gb of RAM but debug only shows 1...

Could be a RAM limit due to the OS* or the RAM is being used for something else like GPU duties.

Steve.

*my Mac Pro has 10GB, but when I boot into XP it only shows 2GB...

I looked at my debug screen and didn't see the RAM listed, I was looking at my C10 address followed by /debug. Where exactly do you see the RAM listed?

I see it now, my Control:10 and TwinStore also show 1GB for memory. It's possible this is a glitch in how the info is reported on that screen.

Has anyone upgraded the ram in a MD600? I was wondering if the Core Control app would come back at the same place that it would be when your iPad is shutting down. Now it mostly comes on at the beginning ( a)

Hi,

Why would you expect the change in Core Control behaviour after adding more RAM to the MD600? Are you having any system performance issues with the MD600?

It does return at the begining normally, this I think is something people have requested to be optional with the next Sooloos upgrade. We wait and see. I don't think it's a RAM issue.

That would be a nice change in the software. That is the only thing that I would like to upgrade the RAM if this is going to be solved.

Hope that it is in the new release then.
