I still have plenty of equipment with digital electronics from the early 90's that still work fine. My Sony TAE-2000 ESD preamp from 1992. Bought new back then. Still works great and I still use it in another part of the house! Digital electronics will last way more than 10 years. In fact all my electronics from the early to mid 90s still works fine.

Actually I was just thinking about in this... my 568.2mm has done this since it was new. Purchased Dec 2003. Sometimes it gets into a sluggish state when powered up. My older 568 didn't do this... lived with that for 4 years before I changed to the .2mm.
