I'm listening to Ashekenazy and the Concertgebouw doing all of Rachmaninoff Symphonies on Decca. Great music, great performances and an excellent recording.

Tonight we are off to see Red Sky July
At the stables Milton Keynes with Hector, so I present them at the Little Rabbit Barn.
Recently the have backed Jools Holland and 10cc amongst others and there new album Shadowlands will be in my collection soon.

Enjoy Chris

Nothing quite like a dose of RSJ on a Monday evening.
Hector

Any New Zealand people here may want to check out Kim Richey

She is on tour and well worth seeing. Chris

Now for some music this short clip of Ryo Natoyama is a teaser for a fantastic player and possibly the most positive face you will see today.

Again we saw him play at Cheltenham where he blew the room away. Such a lovely guy too.

Enjoy, Chris

So today we have a Canadian band The fugitives playing Bigger Than Luck on the Vancouver sea wall.

We saw this band at The Bluebell earlier in the year. Front row seats of course (as we had with Red Sky July at the Stables).

Red sky July.

They (The Fugitives) played without a PA and it was Magic!!!

If you don't get out to find these bands, you are missing out big time. Even a bad night is great lol

Enjoy, Chris

Today's tune is from Berkley Hart My Name is Sam. This Beautiful song needs listening to from start to finish. A twist in the tale...

Now if you want a better version, order the Little Rabbit Barn CD/DVD Here when it's available. They played a magic set for us lucky enough to be there.

Update.. For music fans in shot of Guildford, Martin Harley is playing on December the 13th GU 27 1NS St Stephens church.

Well worth going to see.

Just a heads up, Steven Wilson will release early next year his new album Hand Cannot Erase in a limited deluxe 2 CD incl DVD and BR.
(Buying music is now becoming difficult, waiting for MQA or just get on with it...)

Cheers!

Just get on with it, live now as non of us know how long we have. Chris

For today I have to show you The Great Brooks Williams and his Cigar box guitar, we saw him last night with the equally wonderful
Lauren Housley

Hector is gonna love this as will you all. This was a truly Magic Gig with my mate brooks lol

Chris

Hi Chris
Glad you enjoyed the great Brooks Williams at Kelvedon Chris. Hope he can get to LRB one day and we can meet up again. Good to know Jonathan Rabett was there.
Hector

My musical treat for this Sunday is the wonderful Lauren Housley singing "Show me what love is".
This lady can really sing and I have been privileged to have seen her twice and chatted with her like you do at the intimate gigs.
It was she who put me onto "The Tedeschi Trucks Band", so if you enjoyed them you can see where she take some influences from. She did a great version of "Angel In Harlem" at The Little Rabbit Barn

Enough from me, enjoy the music. Chris

Monday morning..... Perhaps this will wake you and put some pep In your day..
Ward Thomas played the Little Rabbit Barn when they were high in the charts earlier this year.

They played a blinding set for us and it was so nice to be able to chat with them after the show.
It's hard to comprehend how they could be so talented at such a young age.
Anyway, enjoy the clip as it goes to prove that some of these young bands can really write songs and play, paying their dues on the circuit.
