Yes, I heard iOS 8.1.1 was meant to help fix the speed issues on older iPads, but we simply haven't tried it on my wife's iPad as it's too much a pain to revert back to iOS 7 if we needed to. Glad to hear it seems to be working, though.

I suspect, at some point, we'll end up getting another iPad Air 2... they've moved on a long way in the past four years smile
