Hi Is it just me? But I don't get the difference between WiMP and Tidal. They are in the same company... Tidal/WIMP Cheers

Likely a branding difference only. WiMP in English is not a serious/strong sounding brand. Imagine a streaming service called T�nt coming to Sweden

I did not sign up for information when this thread started and thus did not get an email with a 30-day free trial. I am now interested in testing but signing up from the web site will only give the 7-day free trial. Does anyone know if there is a way still to get the 30-day free trial?

I looked to see if I could invite any friends, but it seems that was only possible for the early access phase. I bet if you sign up for the 7 day trial and ask support nicely if you can have some more time to evaluate, they'll extend your trial.

Isn't it true that if you stream Tidal to an iPad or iPhone you will not be able to get around using Apple's DACs?

Unless you use a dock that circumvents the DAC, yes. I have an Arcam rDock Uni that serves this purpose. It works although I did have to change an SPDIF input from FIFO to XMAS on the 818v2 so it's not jitter-free. PM me if you'd like to know more.

It must be my search skills but I can't seem to find easily a dock for the newer iPhones with the lightening connector that bypasses the Apple DAC.
My goal is to be able to stream Tidal to my iPhone 6+ while at work. I'm doing it now and it sounds reasonably good even with Apple earphones and Apple DAC. I'm sure it would sound a lot better if I could bypass the DAC and bring my good earphones.
