Hi folks, I too was there and as a fitting tribute to the man it was a wonderful portrayal of a full and rewarding life. So much work & effort clearly went into the tribute. Sadly it therefore meant that the sense of loss was overwhelming.

But the sheer numbers that attended which the chairperson commented on as being exceptional showed the esteem in which Paul was held in our hearts & minds.

May our thoughts continue to be with his poor family

I had the pleasure to meet Paul in September at the CEDIA convention in Denver. I actually met him at a Texas Hold'em poker night hosted by Prima Cinema who shared an exhibit theater with Meridian at the convention. Paul was true gentleman. I joked about my 861v2 being quite superior to my previous Arcam AVR600. Both he and the US sales manager had a laugh about that. ( I later found out that Paul sold Arcam for years !) Paul and I discussed the Hitchhikers and he spoke very highly of the users and moderators of this forum. He was impressed with the level of knowledge here and with the type of minds that occupy the threads. He had nothing but positive things to say and acknowledged the value of these forums and the weight of it's content and opinion. These forums truly do have impact in some of Meridian's business practices. Paul was a bright light in a wonderful industry and I was shocked when I recently heard of his death. My thoughts and prayers are with him and his family.
