Also, can the rooms be named? Selecting Main Room + Connect crashes the App.

If you want to rename an existing room you have first to get this room offline. By closing your wifi connection. Than you can enter a new offline room with the same MAC, IP and PORT and your own name for the room. Before adding this room you have first to delete the earlier one because you cannot have two rooms with the same MAC and IP. Than you can open you wifi again and you have your room named.

Hi Rick,
Ive updated the vMSR with the new version and theres no way to get it working. It's on an iPad mini 2 iOS 8.1 and the previous version was running perfectly and I was expecting no problem after updating. The application stay searching for long time, but doesnt connect with the iTach IPSL and even though I enter a new offline room using a fixed IP address, as soon as I enter connect the application goes crash and Ive to restart. I dont understand; Ive made all checks and also the debug window show all OK. Am I missing something? Thanks for support. (By the way my processor is G68)
Thanks for suggestions, Ermanno

Hi Ermanno,
I'd guess that something in your network is blocking the Global Cache beacon, which enables the vMSR app to find it's IP automatically.
This beacon is what it's looking for while it says 'Searching', it can take a minute or so, please let it try until it stops.
If it still can't find the beacon after a full search has elapsed then you'll need to enter in the static IP address of the global cache IP2SL in the 'more...' section of vMSR 'Settings'
You only need the IP address, press and hold the 'IP(required)' box and enter the IP address of the IP2SL. Then press 'Done' on the keyboard. (That's important) This will add the room to a list of Offline Rooms below. Press 'connect' next to that room to make the connection.
Once vMSR has connected successfully to that room, it will try to connect to it automatically the next time you start up the app.
Now...
We have a problem with IOS 8.1 currently, which causes vMSR to crash when you try to connect. We have an updated version (Version 2.1) currently with Apple waiting for approval, which should be out any day.
Apologies for the inconvenience meantime.
Rick

Hi Jon,
The lack of features you're experiencing with your 568 such as room naming are caused by the changes in iOS 8.1 which has caught us out.
These features should return when vMSR 2.1 is released later in the week, assuming Apple pass it through approval reasonable quickly.
Cheers, Rick

Many thanks Rick for the heads up, will the source legends still be staggered?
Jon

Thanks Rick,
I've done everithing as you indicated, but I believe that I should wait for the new release since the problem is the crashing when I try connection after manual entering the IP address of the iTach.
Thanks again for the time being.

A prompt for the vMSr update just appeared on my iPad so it should be generally available now.

Yep I've just had notification vMSR 2.1 should be available to download from the App store now.
To tell what version you have of vMSR make sure you have 'Show Debug Window' turned on in the General Settings, Settings page.
Then scroll back up the debug window to the top, and the first line should be vMSR, Version ???
Can everyone who has experienced problems try with 2.1 please?
You should now be able to press and hold Room IP addresses to change the IP to a Memorable Room name. This won't work if vMSR is 'Searching for Online Rooms', please wait for it to finish searching, or press the red 'Stop' to abort the search.
Cheers,
Rick
