We thought we should let you know about a couple of updates due to be released tomorrow...

Core Control App
An updated version of Meridian�s Core Control App for Sooloos, with �fast app switching�, will be released. This enables the user to switch from one application to another without closing either, thus simplifying its use. The new version of the Core Control App also features a dedicated button to go to vMSR. It will be available as a free download from the Apple App Store on 24th October, 2014.
As you may be aware from postings elsewhere on this forum, when running Core Control on iOS8, there is a display issue in 'explore' mode. This does not affect the functionality of the program and, as you'd expect, we are working to resolve it.

vMSR (Virtual MSR)
The vMSR application will also be updated to support fast app switching thus enabling seamless operation between Core Control for enhanced Sooloos features and full control over a Meridian system. Additional changes include custom source labelling for enhanced customization. The vMSR App will be available as a free download from the Apple App Store on 24th October, 2014.
For anyone who is not aware, vMSR requires the use of additional hardware not manufactured by Meridian; details of what is needed and where to get it can be obtained from your Meridian Premium Partner or, indeed, from elsewhere on this forum!

Will my legacy first gen iPad that I keep just for that room choke on the app switching? No multi-tasking, iirc. I guess I'll know soon enough.

If I ever get my rack finished that will be the 'heavy lifting' of M Control mostly sorted ! At last Source Labelling for vMSR too, that's a great aid for 'idiot-proofing'
