Unjustifiable strong words imho. Meridian have acknowledged an issue and have said that a solution will be provided. Even today, I am receiving fresh update notifications for apps that have iOS 8 compatibility fixes - one even from Apple themselves.

The problem is only an issue with the iPhone app. The issue on the iPad only affects the explore functionality, a bit of functionality that I bet 99% of people do not use. The main functionality of the iPad app that 99.9% of people would use looks to me to be fully functional.
