Great movie... But I especially loved the cameo from the DSP5200. Delivered their part with aplomb! Made the movie for me I think there may have been an 861 too... Couldn't quite tell...

Saw it also when we saw the movie Saturday evening. The first time the shed door opened I caught a glance and thought, are those my speakers? The second time, I whispered to my wife, those are our speakers! The third time, I whispered, did you see our speakers??? She turned to me and said, No! now shut-up and watch the movie.
I guess I got a little more excited than she did.

Great post, I was living it as I read it lol.....Chris
No 18 in the Hall of fame I have simple tastes; I am content to settle for the best: GIK monster bass panels, rear wall. QNAP TVS 471i3. Roon into DSP5200SE via 210/ 218 zone... Explorer 2. Bluesound Pulse 2, Mini & Flex. 596v1, 518, Foxsat HD, Sony BDP, Pioneer 5090, 2 Chromecast's for LRB videos. MS200 to F80 for a Roon zone

It's very hard to tell. You only see the top 1/3 - 1/2 of the speaker.

My wife has read the book and thoroughly enjoyed it but disappointed to find it an 18 release. She cannot remember any part that she though might warrant an 18 if it was true to the book. She is not a fan of 18 film's for any reason and it has put her off going to see it. Can anyone share the reason(s) it may be an 18.

BBFC insight: "Strong bloody violence and very strong language" apparently. Also apparently there's a pair of speakers that incite extreme lust in weak-willed men.

Surprised that you say it's an 18 rated movie.......I don't take much notice of Ratings to be honest
Language is no worse than on many UK or US TV Shows......but if there's a sensitivity to that, then maybe would not suit.......IMHO most people wouldn't notice most of the language used.......and would be far less than heard down the local pub on a busy night
No real violence to speak of.......except for one scene about two-thirds of the way through, which does result in a lot of blood.......but again it's not OTT compared to what's seen on TV etc.
I've seen 12's Acc and 15-rated movies that were much more deserving of 18-ratings than this particular movie

Probably could have got a better rating if they cut back that scene - director must have really thought it to be critical to the film.

Is there an argument over new speakers? In my experience you probably couldn't use enough gore if there is...
