Can anyone explain a discrepancy ? The info below is from the Control:PC information tab. I only have a couple of high res files in there. Everything else is CD quality.

Artists 632
Albums 1491
Tracks 19542
Total Storage 983 GB
Available storage 406GB
MP3 off

If I check in the 'debug' screen, the available storage is shown as 416417 MB, so that's 10 GB more than the amount shown above.

Hi,

1GB = 1024MB so 406GB x1024 = 415744 MB, and the storage is to the nearest GB so all figures are approx.

Should you want to do a bit of forensic analysis of your library as found in this thread, you can now use the Sooloos Library Interrogator.

The .csv files are ideal for dicing and slicing in XL.

Finished importing, for now:

Artists: 4691
Albums: 10835
Tracks: 124515

Total storage: 3938 GB
Total available: 23 GB

Sooloos store is set up on the QNAP and is showing up in debug but not information. Will it start being used after the 23GB runs out?

Cheers, Ian

On any Internal to Computer, USB or NAS Drive it is always advisable to keep 5-10% free to allow most efficient operation of the drive. Tests have also shown that you would be far less prone to drive problems by leaving some space on the drive. This is applicable to all Computer based applications and is not specific to Sooloos

Your 23Gb means that you are at about 0.5% of drive capacity available

IMHO, a good target to aim for would be ~200Gb (5%) of space available

It appears to me that Sooloos would have started to Save and Transfer a good proportion of your Albums to the QNAP before now if it recognized that it was there. Therefore, I don't think that Sooloos fully recognize's the presence of the QNAP and that is an issue you would need to resolve
