I have recently moved to a loft and have had significant complaints from neighbor below because of volume. Floors are hardwood over concrete. I know it's too late to do anything structurally here, so for that (and other reasons) are planning to move to a newly constructed building where we'll have the option of improving soundproofing between floors.
We are considering cork flooring with cork underlayment, both for esthetics and sound deadening properties. Have any of you had success with this material as flooring in reduing transmission of sound thru conrete? Or, do you have any other suggestions?
Thanks...gregg
