Same here. Given the app has not been updated since May 27th, 2010 (!) - not even updates for Retina Display and/or 4 inch screens, I'm afraid there's little hope it will be resurrected soon.

A shame, actually (I still used to use the iPhone app, outdated as it is, a lot for quick access to Sooloos). Ended up buying a (brand new) iPod Touch for 50 and using that as a Sooloos remote exclusively. Oh well...

Are you referring to the original Sooloos app or the later Core Control app?

Original Sooloos app on iPhone. Core Control is iPad only, last updated May 18th, 2012.

With the iPhone app broken, how do I select Swim in All Music from Control:PC/Mac?

I don't think this can be done the way you describe it. All I can suggest is that you first create a Saved Focus via Core Control on an iPad (a friend's iPad perhaps?) and then use Control:Mac to swim in that Saved Focus. You may not be able to create a Saved Focus that equals your entire library, but you might get close with Minimum Rating >= 1 star.

I think we need a dose of reality here. Let's face it the iPhone Sooloos app was very basic and was superseded with the iPad Core Control app. I believe that it's extremely unlikely that M will invest resources in keeping this dated iPhone app current with the ever changing iOS versions.

Given that, for those that wish to use the app don't update iOS. For those that want iOS8 on their phone, get an iPad and run the Core Control app.

IMHO it would be better for Meridian to just pull the plug on the outdated Sooloos iPhone app.

Regards,
Carl

Can't agree with that at all.

We've spent a lot of money and we deserve an app that works on an iPhone. That's what I bought into as part of the package and it should be maintained. Both my wife and I use the iPhone version quite frequently. Naim manage to make NStream work on both devices and there is no justifiable reason for Meridian not to IMO. You can't just abandon people because you have to put some effort into development.

Don't get me wrong, I didn't say no phone app... period. However, I truly believe that this iPhone Sooloos app is outdated and has had its day.

Of course you can still run it, just don't update to iOS8 wink

Carl

I use iPhone app for swimming, because I always have a phone on or near me.

Ofcourse they should update it! Who doesn't have a smartphone?

I don't care if they HTML5 it or invest in programming effort to update the iPhone app. But we are way past what should be considered legitimate at this pricelevel and company level of Meridian.

Hi All,

Thank you for your feedback, we have identified technical problems with the Sooloos app within iOS8. We are currently working towards a solution and appreciate your patience in the meantime.

Regards,

Chris
