So I finally got around to connecting the HD421 to my system, using 5C cables daisy-chained from 565 (port 2) -> 518 -> 562 -> HD421. Unfortunately this hangs the system completely! If I unplug the HD421, control returns to normal.

Is there anything wrong with my connections?

I think I already said that the other chain is 565 (port 1) -5M-> 5000C -5S-> 5000(right) -5S-> 5000(left).


I haven't got any further coz I need to borrow a laptop in order to run M-config "in situ" (Up to now, I had been using my desktop in the study to load the config file into the HD421).

Is there anything obvious that I've missed?
