Great news, it's part of the "Meridian satisfaction"! Now with added challenge at no extra cost.

Now if only sombody would tell me how I re-program the remote key-fob for my old Passat, that required a new battery and is now out of synch with the car. 20 subtly different methods in handbook and on the 'net and no joy so far... I will prevail and will enjoy the same feeling of inner peace when I finally get it working. At this rate it might need a another new battery by then!
