Hi... I am very new to Meridian system, I just moved from Linn system and looking forward to have wonderful Meridian experience.
However, it appears the setup is not as easy as I imagined.
I have DSP5200 and MC200, connected via digital RCA cable. When I play a song the yellow light flashes and won't properly play the music.
Can somebody help me to resolve the problem? Thank you very much!

For starters, use cat6/7 shielded cables for best results. One from MC200 to the DSP5200 master (red dot). Then from DSP5200 master to slave DSP5200.
You need/want the control signals to be broadcasted in the system correctly and speakers turned on/volume change.
You want to have correct type settings on speakers for RJ45 MC200 source. Is that the only source you want connected to the speakers?

Thank you for the reply. Yes MC200 is my only source, but my DSP5200 does not have SpeakerLink connector...
So is the RCA cable causing the problem?

How are you controlling the MC200? It should really be plugged into a local network?

Yeap... It is connected to my network, and controlling with PC and iPad just fine.
It is just that I am getting an amber flash in my DSP, which should be telling something is wrong. I tried different digital cables, but it didn't fix the problem.
Just getting fragments of music, keep discontinuing.

Do you have another source to plug into the 5200s (SPDIF) like an CD player/ TV output? Or a way to listen to the RCA output of the MC200 (headphone amp)?

The MC200 digital output works just fine, as I tried them in the shop before I got them. Could there be something wrong with the DSPs?

Looking that way, is there any other source you can plug in? I doubt if it would make any difference but you could re-type the speakers.

I had a similar problem with my MC200. Turned out to be a bad crimp on a board to board cable inside. Meridian repaired it under warranty and was very quick about it.

I do not have another source, but I may want to try setting adjustment. Can someone tell me how I can adjust setting with remote?

Hi,
Welcome to the forum sorry to hear you're having some problems.
The Yellow LED indicates the input sample rate: Off is standard sample rate (44/48K) On is high sample rate (88/96K)
If it is flashing it sounds like the DSP's are losing signal lock on the input signal.
It is possible there is a problem with the DSP's, but let's try to rule that out by a process of elimination.
How long have you had the DSP's, did they work ok before you added the MC200?
It could be a faulty RCA cable. What type of RCA cables are you using (make sure they are for a digital signals)?
Something for you to try, use the DSP User Guide as reference (download from Duncan's Info site if you don't have it).
Try a different RCA cable and retest.
Re-TYPE both DSP's (TYPE=1 Standard setting for 2-channel system) Reconfigure: Left/Right, One MASTER, One SLAVE. Retest.
If still no good, try switching the MC200 over to the input of the other DSP. Retest.
When testing note the yellow LED's on both speakers (do they both flash or just one).
Regards, Carl

Can someone tell me how I can adjust setting with remote? Duncan's Meridian Info - DSP Speakers and then download the DSP Loudspeakers User Guide v9. Read the sections in Configuring the DSP loudspeakers, then get back to us if still not clear. I assume you have a Meridian MSR+ remote. Regards, Carl
