Thank you Carl, for the instruction.

The yellow LED flash on both left and right speakers. I will try those tests and let you know. I just got a second hand DSP from trusted dealer, and I was waiting for MC200 to test it for the first time, but blinking yellow light greeted me.

The very first song I played had no problem, but the flash came on, and not going away since.

Welcome to the forum.

I have had a variation on this; the same blinking yellow lights on DSP5000s (losing lock with the incoming signal), which eventually turned out to be a comms related problem. As Carl suggests, retype your Speakers and make sure that they are set up properly as Master and Slave with the correct comms cabling.

Unlikely to be firmware. Have a look at the link at the bottom of the page "Firmware Release Notes". We're are on 1.4. Updating firmware is fairly easy if you are computer savvy, you would get the firmware off a local friendly dealer. If you can't, check in here again.

Can you confirm that you have cables all connected in the correct inputs and outputs?
Also, can you re-check that master and controller is set correctly in each DSP.

I know you probably have but issues like these often get resolved by something really simple.

Tried everything, but it is not working... What is worse, now the yellow light doesnt even lid up... When I click on 'display' button twice, I see 'Data' & 'PCML' blinking simultaneously about.. 5 blinks per second. Wonder what is going on.

My digital cable looks very crappy, and I think (hope) this is the problem, I may have to buy another cable, and do the tests again.

By the way I live in South Korea, and should be quite difficult to find the good dealer here. I think I may want to update the firmware after I can get these babies to sing first.

I am pretty confident that my cable setup and master/slave configuration is correct. I have set my left speaker as master, and the right as a slave (not slave 2).

The master (both comms and digital out), slave (both comms and digital in) for S5 cable. Type 1 is used.

The digital cable is privided by the dealer which would have been used by the previous owner (so wonder why it is not working, maybe it worked with 48k?), it is white, exteremly thin, with WBT locking connector, but the termination is so crappy, that I can sorta see the bare wires. I have no idea what kind of cable this is.

According to the manual, there was some kind of source setup steps. Do I need to reconfigure anything to feed MC200 directly to DSP5200?

Have you no other SPDIF source to input into the 5200s? TV output, old CD player? This would help rule out the MC200.

Can you confirm you tried this?

Also just as a quick test, completely disconnect the digital cable from MC200 to DSP.
Then try using the digital part of the S5 lead to connect the MC200 to the input of a DSP speaker. Please try this on both DSP's and let us know the results.

It's early morning here in the far east, and I only had time to test my left (master) and it does not flash, the speaker sings the way I would normally expect... Works fine!

Is this giving me more reason to believe that the faulty digital cable is the prime suspect? I am definitely getting me a good digital coaxial cable...

By the way is there any way for me to make use of SpeakerLink on MC200 on non-sl DSP?
