Hi

I understand that two different Digital tuner models would be required, one model being for the American market.

A further consideration is the reliability of the Roke Manor card.

Hence it does seem to be to some extent market forces.

A further thought, I would like to see subwoofer bass management which includes two subs, one for LFE and one for front (L/C/R) mono.

Cheers

Have summarized/categorized the questions a bit, so John and/or Stacey have less work.

Great effort Jaco,

I'd love a G series Hard Disk music server with a TV interface .....or a 2-way RF remote would be great.

Secondly, a G series DVD/CD player without the DVD-Audio stuff (or SACD should they decide upon that. What's the point paying for DVD audio when there's hardly any software...

Oh, and I want to see the track number or station name on my DSP speakers

Rgds,

Richard

Richard, there is a CD only player the: G07.
I do not see Meridian bring out a DVD/CD (and not DVD-A) player because they are the MLP designers and i doubt they want to sell it without DVD-A capabilitys.
Als would it differ a lot in price ?

We also discussed once if we could get a seperate display connected via comms cable like a 512 receiver with display.
That was not possible i think if i remember it right.

Jaco

Having tried out my G98 with a Sharp LCD that supports 1366x768 but didn't report it in its EDID, we need a way to manually set the scaler in addition to the deinterlace, 720p, 1080i and auto options. Im not sure whether I need 50Hz also converted to 60Hz to allow 1366x768x60 on PAL discs. Also the ability to retime external analogue sources may be useful - ie PAL external source converted to 60Hz.

Jaco,

Thanks for taking time to consolidate these -- it makes the job much easier.

I will check tomorrow AM (US Time) for any last minute additions and post again saying anything new isn't promised for discussion :-)

Cheers,

What is the chance of all G98/G91 owners getting the option of upgrading the internal Rom Drive when HD DVD comes out? Or do we all have to replace our player again?

Steve.

All,

Thanks for the questions, at this point, I'm going to say "no more"...
