Two subs, an active crossover and the center is on order .. has been for almost one year now. The guy making them is not in a hurry [Linked Image from softronix.com]
Every speaker is hand made by one person and the queue is VERY long!

Great speakers though!

Hmm perhaps i am wrong and you CAN run Trifield without a center, but i as far as i understand the thought behind Trifield / ambisonics is that the use of a center improves your soundstage.

Trifield with a phantom center is very possible, and sounds great. I don't think you can turn on and off the center without storing two different types and retyping the unit, though.

I'm pretty sure you cannot switch the centre channel on and off without re-typing your processor.

I too use tri-field in a stereo setup with 6k's. It sounds 10x better with all music then plain ol direct

George

Would like a centre (really want a centre), but geography of room and wife make it difficult.

Therefore have 3 options:-

(a)Move house (can't afford it and not a good time in present market conditions)
(b) Change wife (No way!!!)
(c)Making the best of what's there (easiet option)

Exporing (c), I think 'Difield' is better than Stereo or Direct. Not ideal, but good enough for the bloke who gets his mains cords from Woolworths.

Cheers Cliff

When writing to the G68 I managed to create a new type.

How do I switch between my two types (can't find anything in the manual).
