I also encountered this error.

Some album names had strange characters in them which seemed to act like a Carriage Return/Line Feed (for those old enough to know what they are). You can find them by scanning the albums in text under debug. Typically found in albums with Russian performers/composers but that may just be my experience.

Once found, edit the album names so they don't misbehave, usually just needs a space inserting. You can check using Control:PC where the before and after effect are visble in the rightmost Explore panel.

I get the error at the end of my albums now frown

I am trying to run interrogator on an ancient XP laptop. I get a memory exception:

Exception of Type 'System.OutOfMemoryException' before the Album Browser is populated. If I click 'OK', the album browser populates, Debug Information says: Found 288 tags; Failed to connect to http://10.0.1.56:9080/Music/music2/tagindex.fse; The remote server returned an error: (404) Not Found.

I then get a .NET Framework failure dialog with the following failure details. Is the laptop just too old / low spec to be able to handle this? The core IP is 10.0.1.3 (MD600). 10.0.1.56 is the QNAP extended storage.

My Sooloos Interrogator has stopped working. It's on a Windows 8.1 machine (iMac running bootcamp). Every time I try and run it a pop up window appears telling me I have a .NET problem. I tried reinstalling .NET to no avail.

Any thoughts welcome.

I'm sure Duncan will be along to help, but it looks like the application settings in the application folder have got corrupted.

For sake of a relatively easy workaround to try, rename the interrogator application folder and reinstall/reload it.

Meridian owner since 1992

Having recently 'arrived' here at THGTM I have been reading about your Sooloos Library Interrogator which looks as though it is a really useful tool. However, I can't get the link to work, although I can access the User Guide. Is the Interrogator still operative and, if so, is there any possibility that a working link can be made available?
