FWIW. I ripped the same CD (S.O.S. Band - Greatest Hits) to FLAC again with XLD. No errors in the log. Re-imported into MD600, ran backup - No Errors.

My house was probably subjected to cosmic rays during the first rip/import.

I can't find a single example in my http debug with the word "Head".

My back up still keeps crashing. (Multiple times today).

I'd quite like a PP to take this up, as it's a joke.

Hi dpstjp,

Just to clarify where I'm looking. And sorry if this looks different because I have an MD600 running core and you don't I'm not sure from your signature.

First, I'm looking at the HTTP log listed under Disks as shown in this screenshot (my core's IP address is 10.0.1.4):
[Linked Image from dl.dropboxusercontent.com]

Here I added one track pick to an album after a full completed backup so that the backup process had some work to do. Flagging one track as a "pick" caused the backup to scan the whole album track by track, then cover, review and finally play info (play count) as shown below:

[Linked Image from dl.dropboxusercontent.com]

I made sure to hit refresh on the HTTP Server Log (note the URL in my case is {core IP address}:9080/debug/http) after the backup had completed or crashed.

Soundserge,

Many thanks for taking the extra step and posting those screen shots that helps to clarify Bernardo's method.

Thanks of course also due to Bernard, as other have said a fantastic first post on the forum.

This now gives users a credible workaround for this bug.
Thank you.

Regards,
Carl

I'd be happy to write this up in the wiki. I took a quick look and I didn't see a Troubleshooting section as such. Should this go under tips and tricks?

I think it would be better as a new page under the Sooloos section.

Carl

I added a new page and I've added it to the main Sooloos Section. Comments and edits welcome.

dpstjp,

The burning question I have is, were you able to get your backup working? As I understand, your issue wasn't an "Unknown Error" message but rather no error message at all? An unknown unknown, if you will smile
